Sometimes a person may say or do something to you with such a closed mind about it and short sightedness, which hurts you badly.
You say something back, but realize there's no reasoning in them. So you decide to stop and turn away to avoid 'argumentation' which has no fruitful outcome.
Then your silence thereafter becomes your final answer. For such a person, an angel replies on your behalf, and for such a person the Prophet (pbuh) said:
"I am a guarantor of a palace in Jannah for he who avoids 'argumentation' while he is in the right (and the other is in the wrong).." (sunan Abu Dawud)
